DESCRIPTION:Make plans now to attend the 2017 Hispanic Heritage Luncheon\, Wednesday\, October 11\, 11:30 am   1 pm at the Baker Conference Center/Bozeman Room at Lubbock Christian University\, 5601 19th Street.  \n\n\n\nJoin us to hear from Coach Steve Gomez\, Head Coach of the Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps basketball program. Coach Gomez has been at the helm of the women's basketball program at LCU for 10 seasons\, and has changed the foundation of the program during his tenure there.  In 2016\, the Lady Chaps won a NCAA Div. II National Title and Gomez claimed WBCA NCAA Div. II National Coach of the Year honors.  Coach Gomez spent a portion of the offseason as a court coach at the 2016 USA Basketball Women's U17 World Championship Team Trials in Colorado Springs\, Colorado.\n\n \n\nWhat does it take to motivate a team to achieve this kind of success while keeping their core values that help shape a culture of inclusion while celebrating diversity and how does that relate to Hispanic Heritage Month? Coach Gomez will share a little bit about his background and how it shaped him while he delivers a message emphasizing what unifies us more than what sets us apart.  \n\n\n\nYou won't want to miss hearing Coach Gomez.
