DESCRIPTION:Make your reservation now to attend A Taste of Texas Uncorked Award Dinner\, Thursday\, April 12\, 6:30 pm   9 pm at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. \n\n \n\nJoin key influencers in the wine industry and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the wine and grape growing industry with a night of wine\, food and music! Get ready to learn about local wines and the grape-growing industry as we honor Neal Newsom\, the 2018 winner of the Doc McPherson Award. This  award recognizes someone making great strides in the industry and helping put Texas grapes and wine on the map!\n\n \n\nNewsom is past President of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association and a recipient of the Texas Wine & Grape  Growers Association Lifetime Achievement Award.  Neal and his family have been growing grapes on the High Plains since 1986.  The Newsom's host Newsom Grape Day in Plains each year in late April or early May to help educate and encourage grape growers in Texas.
