She has served with the American Red Cross and the Ronald McDonald House Charities. She now continues her passion for leading service as the CEO of the South Plains Food Bank. She is a graduate of the Kellogg's School of Executive Nonprofit Management\, Leadership Texas\, Leadership Lubbock\, the Law Enforcement Citizen's Academy and Lubbock 101. She recently was recognized as a Woman of Excellence by YWCA and has been appointed to the City of Lubbock's Airport Advisory Board by the Mayor.\n\nShe enjoys building relationships with volunteers and donors and loves mentoring and witnessing the "ah-ha" moments others discover when they realize what the bigger picture of life has to offer.\n\nDina was raised in Lubbock and was given the opportunity to live in various places while her husband served in the military. Dina has been married to her husband\, Steve\, for 38 years. Their son\, Alec\, is a former Lubbock police officer and now proud Lubbock business owner of a custom golf club fitting and build business. He is married to Caitlynn\, who is a police officer and Public Information Officer for Texas Tech Police Department. Dina and Steve have proudly taken on new roles as "Grammy" and "Papa" with the birth of their first grandchild\, Aubrey Lee! No bio would be complete without including the four-legged family members   her two yellow labs\, Gracie and Jax!
