DESCRIPTION:Communities In Schools of the South Plains will be hosting the 7th Annual CIS-South Plains Gala on Saturday\, February 9\, 2019 at the Overton Hotel located at 2320 Mac Davis Lane\, Lubbock\, TX. Join us for an elegant evening of Fine Dining\, Cocktails\, a Silent and Live Auction\, and Entertainment provided by students who participate in our programs. All proceeds benefit Communities In Schools of the South Plains. It is Communities In Schools of the South Plains' mission to "support and empower students to stay in school and achieve in life." The evidence of Communities In Schools making a difference in the lives of students is well-documented and plays out in 15 school districts and on 60 campuses here in Lubbock and across the South Plains. With the generous support of individuals and businesses\, CIS-South Plains will be able to broaden its reach to help even more students realize their potential.
