DESCRIPTION:The world is in the process of celebrating the Centennial of Leonard Bernstein (1918 1990). His genius lives on in the 21st Century. Bernstein was a composer\, a musician\, a conductor\, a social activist and an educator. We will learn about music directly from him. During the 1950's "Lennie" was a seven time guest on the award winning television program Omnibus hosted by Alistair Cook. This semester class participants will view and discuss two episodes of the program featuring Bernstein the educator.
