About Us
Lubbock Live is a nonprofit music and arts festival with the goal of supporting the arts in Lubbock. We were founded in 2020, gained our nonprofit status in 2021, and have since held four festivals, with 2025 being our fifth!
The purpose of Lubbock Live Festival For The Arts is to give back to the local arts community. Our goal is to gather the local artists that make our city great in one place to show the citizens of Lubbock just how much art is available in our community. Our mission is to raise awareness for Lubbock citizens who may have been uninformed about the wonderful art happening all around us, while simultaneously giving back to and supporting these artists and ultimately, our city.
Each year, we donate a large portion of our proceeds to a different local arts program. In previous years, the beneficiaries have been as follows, LISD Fine Arts Department, East Lubbock Art House, Lubbock Roots Historical Arts Council, and The Wallace Theater. This year, 2025, our beneficiary is The Lubbock Youth Orchestras.
Along with this, in the past 4 years, we have supported over 60 local musicians, giving many of them a chance to showcase their talents on stage for the first time, as well as many visual artists and dance groups. We have also paid $45,000 to local artists, raised $30,000 for local arts organizations, and contributed an estimated $79,000 to local businesses through our event over the years.
