About Us
An advocate for High Plains cotton growers since 1956, Plains Cotton Growers has been tackling the tough issues facing cotton growers for 60 years. Organized by cotton producers from across the High Plains production region, PCG is a non-profit organization devoted to ensuring that cotton producers are represented on the front lines so they can do what they love - grow cotton. Leadership consists of a Board of Directors and a full-time staff of six. Through the years PCG has been instrumental in bringing needed economic relief to High Plains cotton growers through beneficial legislative and regulatory changes. Cotton growers in PCG's 41-county service area produce about 66 percent of the Texas cotton crop, 30 percent of the nation's crop and 4 percent of the world's crop, on average, each year.
