Vote FOR Lubbock-Cooper Bond Package

Early voting for the Lubbock-Cooper ISD bond election begins April 19 and runs through April 27, and Election Day is Saturday, May 1. Polling locations and hours of operation can be found on the Lubbock County Elections Office websiteMake a plan to go vote if you live in the Lubbock-Cooper school district, and encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to vote too!

The bond package has been endorsed by the Lubbock Chamber’s Government Relations Committee and the Chamber’s Board of Directors. In addition, the Lubbock Chamber PAC donated $5,000 to the efforts in a show of support for Lubbock-Cooper.

Here’s why you should vote FOR the bond package:
  • Lubbock-Cooper ISD is one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state of Texas. By 2030, its student population will exceed 10,000, and the district needs additional facilities to accommodate for the increase in students.
  • The bond will fund both academic and extracurricular opportunities for current and future Lubbock-Cooper ISD students. Nearly 80% of the bond will be used for academic facilities, including a second high school, a third middle school, and a sixth elementary school. The rest of the bond will be for items such as athletic facilities, fine arts, and more.
  • The bond will not increase property tax rates in Lubbock-Cooper ISD, but will instead be funded entirely based on growth in the district.
