About Lynn:
Dr. Lynn M. Brinckmeyer recently retired as Distinguished Professor Emerita of Music. She fulfilled the duties of Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication and Director of Choral Music Education at Texas State University. During 2006-2008 she served as President for The National Association for Music Education (formerly MENC).
Dr. Brinckmeyer’s degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Music Education from Eastern New Mexico University, and a Ph.D. in Music Education from The University of Kansas. In New Mexico she taught elementary music and middle school choir, then moved to higher education in the Pacific Northwest. As a sought after speaker, she has presented master classes, transformational workshops and performed in forty-nine states in the United States and 25+ countries, including China, Brazil, South Africa, Cuba, Peru and Australia. In addition to serving music teachers and students across the globe, Dr. Brinckmeyer mentors teachers and other business professionals as a Life Mastery Certified Coach/Consultant.
For over 3 decades Lynn has worked with universities, organizations and individuals, helping them build their dreams, accelerate their results, and create richer, more fulfilling lives. Lynn is the author of five books, she appeared on NBC Nightly News and shared the stage with world-renown teachers such as Mary Morrissey, Jennifer Jimenez, Tony Robbins, Mat Boggs, John Boggs, Sesame Street’s Elmo and Senator John Glenn.
