About Terry:
Terry Fuller is President and Founder of Phoenix PetroCorp, Inc, an independent oil and gas production and operating company. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1977. He began his career as a Drilling Engineer for Arco Oil and Gas in the Rocky Mountain District. He moved into Production Operations Supervision at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in 1983. He finished his Arco experience as Production Superintendent before leaving to start Phoenix PetroCorp in 1993. Phoenix PetroCorp has operations in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
Fuller was named a Distinguished Engineer by the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering in 2011 and served as an advisor to the Dean of the College of Engineering and is a member of the Friends of Petroleum Engineering Academy. In 2014, the Bob L. Herd Department of Petroleum Engineering opened classes in the newly constructed Terry Fuller Petroleum Engineering Research Building. The building features the finest classroom and lab facilities for teaching students the latest technology as they prepare for a career in the petroleum industry. The $26 million building was funded entirely with private donations. Fuller served on the Texas Tech Foundation Board including 3 terms as Chairman.
Terry and Linda Fuller believe strongly in the value of the university experience for future generations of students and have established scholarship endowments in each of the Colleges of Texas Tech University to support a diversity of student opportunities. The Texas Tech University System has recognized the contributions of the Fuller’s with membership in the Spur Society, Silver Buckle Society and the Black Boot Society.
