Did you know that Lubbock will experience an 88% max annular eclipse on October 14th? We are celebrating this amazing astronomical event with a public Solar Eclipse Viewing Party on our front lawn and lobby as well as throughout the Science Spectrum museum! Join us for hands-on activities, science demonstrations, and most importantly, SAFE solar viewings! Never look directly at the sun! Need a safe way to view the eclipse? We've got you! Purchase your very own pair of Eclipse Viewing Glasses from our Gift Shop! Available now!! Additionally, the OMNI Theater will be offering a limited viewing of the film, SolarMax, in the OMNI Theater. This film will be available during eclipse weekend from October 13th - October 15th. Solar Eclipse Viewing Party activities will be available with standard museum admission. OMNI Theater tickets sold separately.
