Description
Join the Lubbock Civic Orchestra for “Stage and Screen” - a celebration of music for the concert hall and the movie theatre! Repertoire includes: Symphony No. 1 in A-flat Major, “Afro-American” by William Grant Still, Symphony No. 8., “Unfinished”, Allegro moderato by Franz Schubert, and A Tribute to John Williams by John Williams, arranged by Paul Lavender. Sunday, April 3 in Plainview - in collaboration with the Plainview Civic Music Association - the orchestra will perform at 3:00pm in Harral Auditorium on the campus of Wayland Baptist University. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students of all ages and will be available for purchase at the door. Tuesday, April 5 in Lubbock - in collaboration with Lubbock Christian University - the orchestra will perform at 7:30pm in McDonald-Moody Auditorium on the campus of Lubbock Christian University. Admission is free.
