This is a standalone workshop. We will discuss basic accounting principles that every small business owner should know. Entity Concept What is double entry accounting? o Cash vs Accrual, why should you care? Understanding financial statements o What is a balance sheet and how do you read it? o What kind of important elements can you find on a balance sheet? o Spotting bookkeeping errors on a balance sheet What is an Income Statement (Profit & Loss Statement)? o Various kinds of profit and loss statement details o What items should NOT appear on profit and loss statements? o Profit vs Cash What is a cash flow statement and how can it help your business? THIS WORKSHOP IS PROVIDED AT A $20 CHARGE TO LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES. No refunds after the registration deadline. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 20 at 12pm.
