Summary:
This position is focused on helping individuals secure and maintain employment by providing personalized job coaching, comprehensive case management, and direct access to employment-related community resources.
The role includes assessing participants’ employment readiness, creating and tracking individualized service plans, and delivering targeted support to overcome barriers to employment.
A key responsibility is to actively identify job opportunities, prepare participants for the workforce, and build strong relationships with local employers. The position also includes building partnerships within the community, identifying employment opportunities, and educating employers on how Goodwill can support their workforce needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
All job functions are to be performed following safety guidelines and regulations
Within 24 hours of client contact, accurately input and update participant data in the case management system, ensuring all relevant information is recorded. Maintain detailed and timely case notes to support service delivery and compliance.
- Conduct individual assessments to identify participant barriers and recommend appropriate services or referrals.
- Complete intake processes and administer assessments for new program participants.
- Develop, document, and regularly update individualized service plans.
- Meet bi-weekly with participants to monitor progress toward service plan goals.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate employment-related classes and events.
- Assist participants with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Conduct practice interviews and provide constructive coaching.
- Match participants with suitable employment opportunities based on their skills, interests, and experience.
- Notify qualified candidates of job openings and support communication with employers.
- Follow up with participants and employers to evaluate placement outcomes and provide ongoing support.
- Coordinate services and community referrals to help participants meet case management goals.
- Support participants in their job search efforts and document job placements details in case management system. Conduct follow-up calls for a minimum of 90 days after placement.
- Network each month with local employers, educational institutions, and community partners and relay outcomes in weekly staff meetings.
- Working with team members, Career Navigators are responsible for organizing a Resource Fair and a Job Fair every six months.
- Share participant recommendations with team members and collaborate for effective planning.

- Assist at reception and computer bank as needed.
- Complete 12 hours of professional development each year.
