YWCA Women of Excellence- Amanda Key, founder of Hope in Song

Our 2026 Women of Excellence have been announced and we would like to introduce them to you! Meet Amanda Key-Braster, 2026 Women of Excellence honoree.

Amanda Key-Braster is an internationally accomplished soprano, nonprofit founder, and inspiring example of resilience, creativity, and faith in action. After performing in 11 countries across Europe, Amanda’s professional journey was unexpectedly altered by a life-changing injury—but her purpose was not diminished. Instead, she returned to Lubbock and transformed adversity into impact, founding Hope in Song, a nonprofit that brings healing, comfort, and connection through music to hospitals, nursing homes, churches, and correctional facilities. As a performer, educator, and advocate, Amanda continues to expand access to opera while mentoring students and uplifting audiences through both artistry and compassion. Resilient visionary, gifted artist, servant leader, and courageous advocate—these are just a few of the words used to describe Amanda and why she is part of our 2026 Women of Excellence class.

Join us Thursday, March 12th at 6:00pm as we honor Amanda and the other 2026 Women of Excellence at the new YWCA Ballroom! For tickets and more information: https://ywcalubbock.ejoinme.org/.../1564254/Default.aspx
