Job Qualifications
- College degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Graphics preferred; proven work experience considered (2 years minimum.)
- Must be 21 or older with an excellent driving record.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office with expert understanding of Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required with Adobe Illustrator and other professional design programs, event planning platforms, donor management platforms, and a basic overall understanding of technology.
- Experience in non-profit development a plus.
- Willingness to travel within West TX, Permian Basin, and Eastern NM region for presentations and events.

Requirements
- Works under the direction of the Director of Development to facilitate all aspects of the annual Development Department strategy and plan.
- Coordinate and assist the team to manage and execute major RMHC signature events, including oversight of event committee meetings, supporting needs of committee members, creating, and managing event budgets, setting, and managing timelines and milestone dates, and updating development calendar.
- Cultivate, manage, and steward relationships with individual donors, major gift prospects, foundations, churches, businesses, and community stakeholders through a donor portfolio to strengthen engagement, increase philanthropic support, and advance the organization's mission. Proactively cultivate and steward long-term partnerships by conducting exploratory meetings, including coffee and lunch appointments, to uncover philanthropic goals and passions. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Identify, solicit, and follow-up with prospective sponsors to secure financial and in-kind donations for RMHC special events. Steward existing RMHC event sponsors and support committee members to do the same.
- Collaborate with appropriate staff in maintaining database information for event sponsors and attendees.
- Maintain files for each major special event. Coordinate and assist in compiling and organizing chronologically all collateral pieces, reports, and summaries of events.
- Conduct post-event analysis, identify, and execute on any follow-up action steps, including accounts receivable pending.
- Identify, manage and coordinate third party fundraising events.
- Identify, manage and coordinate school partnerships/fundraising events.
- Write thank you notes to event and project sponsors, donors, and associates using creative and excellent methods that stand out.
- Serve as a liaison with our McDonald’s owners and teams, focusing on building and maintaining strong communication and relationships. Oversee McDonald’s fundraising efforts related to the store donation canisters, Happy Meal funds, Round-Up funds, and all national fundraisers.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, cell phones, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Salary
This is a full-time position. Hours of duty may vary to meet the needs of donors, guests, and volunteers. Salary is competitive and negotiable.
