Industry Leader to Speak at Salute to Agriculture Luncheon

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host its Salute to Ag Luncheon, presented by FiberMax-BASF, on March 22 at noon at the FiberMax Center for Discovery, 1121 Canyon Lake Drive.

The event will be held on National Ag Day and celebrates the South Plains agriculture industry that according to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension exceeds $6 billion in economic impact. Agriculture continues to be one of the pillars of the local and West Texas economy.

Corey Rosenbusch, President and CEO of The Fertilizer Institute (TFI), will be the featured speaker. TFI serves as the fertilizer industry’s national source on issues affecting the industry as well as fertilizers and the environment and leads federal policy issues impacting the US fertilizer industry.

Rosenbusch will address how current events could affect agriculture locally and its potential impact on businesses and consumers in the region.

“Rosenbusch and the Fertilizer Institute are on the front lines of chemical and supply chain issues currently facing the agriculture sector,” said Chase Head, BASF’s U.S. Cotton quality manager. “Lubbock area businesses are fortunate to be joined by an industry leader with Rosenbusch’s insights and expertise for National Ag Day.”

Tickets are on sale now. Individual tickets are $45 and $35 for Chamber members. Sponsorships and tables are still available by contacting Kyle Jacobson at Kyle.Jacobson@lubbockbiz.org
